There have been several ghost sightings at this old house. The most famous is that of Chloe, a former slave who was having an affair with her master. She was caught eavesdropping on a conversation and had her ear chopped off. In retaliation, she poisoned her Masters' three children, and was subsequently hung from a tree at the house. Hers is one of ten murders that have occured at the house over the years.
